DIY Shell Holder Ideas for Mossberg 183D

I’m thinking about adding a small shell holder to the right side of my Mossberg 183D-B .410. Since it’s a bolt-action with a tiny 2-round internal mag, having a few extra rounds handy would make my life easier.
I’m thinking about 3D printing a holder and mounting it directly through the stock or designing a bracket that uses the front floorplate screw to avoid drilling into the wood.
I’m not a fan of those loose elastic sleeves, so I want something more solid, maybe you guys have better ideas about this.
Has anyone tried a custom side-saddle on a vintage rifle like this? how you’d mount it without ruining the classic look.

I’d definitely avoid drilling. Using the floorplate screw sounds like the cleanest, safest option.

I'd probably avoid drilling into the stock of an older Mossberg. You know, a small kydex or even a printed carrier, maybe tied into existing screws would keep the rifle in much better shape. Those old bolt action .410s, just have more charm untouched than most people actually realize.

The idea of a front floorplate screw is smart if you want to avoid drilling. A machinist familiar with vintage stocks could probably make something neat without messing up the wood.
