What's the best budget choke upgrade that actually made a difference?

I have been shooting my 500 with the factory modified choke since I got it and I figured it was time to experiment. The problem is I don't want to drop $60-80 on a choke until I know what direction I'm going. I shoot mostly clays with occasional home defense drills, so I'm not chasing waterfowl patterns or anything exotic. I talked to a guy at my gun club who swore by Patternmaster but that felt like overkill for what I'm doing. Anyone start with something basic and affordable that actually tightened up their patterns in a noticeable way? Be straight with me...

If you want to tighten your clay patterns without dropping a ton of cash, try a Kicks Gobble choke first. It’s about 35 dollars and noticeably improved my 500-patterns before I considered premium upgrades.
