I have been putting Federal slugs through my 590A1 for the past few months and the thing handles them way better than I expected. Recoil is stout but manageable and the accuracy at 50 yards is honestly impressive for a shotgun. And I see tighter groups than I thought I'd get with ghost rings. Only thing I'll say is my shoulder knows it was at the range 
I am curious what other 590A1 owners are running. Are you sticking to birdshot and buckshot or do you actually train with slugs? And if you do what load? I've been on the Federal Power-Shok 1oz but I've heard good things about Brenneke too. I just want to compare notes before I commit to a case.
